Abiquiu ist umgeben von hunderttausenden Hektaren National Forest Land. Vieles davon ist Wildnis wo freies Camping und wandern erlauft sind (Vorsicht ist geboten beim entfachen offenen Feuer!). Die Landschaft lässt sich mit derjeniger Arizona's und Utah's vergleichen, nur ist sie noch viel weniger entdeckt.

Für einige Tage, Wochen oder Monate finden sie hier zu moderaten Preisen (vergleichbar mit dem Durchschnittspreis einer Hotelübernachtung) was Sie suchen.
